Ulysses Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Dudu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rony Dudu in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulysses Novaes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Proteu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armando Piacentini in the 13th minute. Ulysses Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Dudu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baran Alp Tolgahan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Zane Wrigley came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Calopsita EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zane Wrigley couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Dudu in the 29th minute of play forced Calopsita EC's goalkeeper Ulysses Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Calopsita EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Armando Piacentini was slow to take the kick. During this time Proteu's players had a chance to rest. Proteu's Armando Piacentini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulysses Novaes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anak Dewa got free with Casimiro Ignatius in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Rony Dudu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulysses Novaes was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After 41 minutes of play, Proteu's Qu Wei made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulysses Novaes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rony Dudu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rony Dudu ran back to his position shaking his head. 56 minutes into the match, Calopsita EC's goalkeeper Ulysses Novaes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rony Dudu. Ulysses Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Dudu, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Anak Dewa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Casimiro Ignatius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Proteu's Qu Wei got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Proteu's supporters rose to their feet, but Rony Dudu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Proteu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Proteu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
