Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Christian Orlan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Váldson Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half CE LAJEADENSE RS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

CE LAJEADENSE RS's Renato Quadros was substituted for Jorge Pires. The wind increased when Zhuo Chao Chuan made the kick off in the second half. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Leo Iigo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Váldson Montenegro but with some difficulty. If Kléber Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nando Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Váldson Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhuo Chao Chuan's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Sampaio came free, but Christian Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
