The Xiboquinha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Zanette should have stopped the shot. Rony Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Trigo in the 20th minute of the match. Rony Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Zonta in the 21st minute of play. After 23 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Guto Tasso. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tage Backlund got free with Zé Augusto Duarte in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tage Backlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Alessandro Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Zé Augusto Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 played minutes Uberlandia-DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Pontes. Xiboquinha FC's Albano Eladio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Uberlandia-DMZ. 81 minutes into the game, Cristo Videl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rony Zanette was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sílvio Favoretto charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sílvio Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Luiz Fabiano Trigo scored 1-3 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rony Zanette, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Uberlandia-DMZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Xiboquinha FC.
