Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fellipe Queirós in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 11 minutes, Fellipe Queirós made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Guayra FC's Alfredo Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute, Guayra FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gugu Magalhães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marumby's Ferdinant Pierewaaijer got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Marumby's Fellipe Queirós slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredo Fernandez. That made the score 3-0 after 22 minutes of play. Alfredo Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinant Pierewaaijer in the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Fellipe Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marumby's supporters rose to their feet, but Fellipe Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Marumby booed when Guayra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Marumby's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Goiano came free, but Inácio Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Guayra FC defense, Ferdinant Pierewaaijer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Fernandez. The Guayra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Fernandez should have stopped the shot. After having played for 41 minutes, Ferdinant Pierewaaijer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marumby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinant Pierewaaijer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Adrián Czornomaz made the kick off in the second half. Guayra FC's Alfredo Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinant Pierewaaijer in the 53rd minute of play. Fellipe Queirós struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Alfredo Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marumby. Gugu Magalhães's late challenge caught a Guayra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gugu Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Magalhães in the 62nd minute of play forced Guayra FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ferdinant Pierewaaijer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baltazar Fonseca hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Fellipe Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alfredo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
