Thomás Proença came out of the goal and Ferdinant Pierewaaijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th match minute, Marumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinant Pierewaaijer to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Dé Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Inácio Cruz. Marumby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ferdinant Pierewaaijer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 95thth minute of the game Ferdinant Pierewaaijer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maricá FC's Thomás Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
