When Lúcio da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the FC La Masia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio da Rocha couldn't finish the play. Matheus Soeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Thomás Proença made a huge save. FC La Masia's Lúcio da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Peres hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Thomás Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Bittencourt in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Antônio Simão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thomás Proença. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Maricá FC's zone, Antônio Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomás Proença came out of the goal and Antônio Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maricá FC's Thomás Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio da Rocha in the 30th minute of play. Lúcio da Rocha succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 30th playminute. Thomás Proença made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Lúcio da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd match minute, Maricá FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Rosado to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes Maricá FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diogo Bittencourt who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Diogo Bittencourt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maricá FC's Thomás Proença did a great save. Thomás Proença made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Lúcio da Rocha sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antônio Simão to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Antônio Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomás Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio da Rocha in the 73rd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Lúcio da Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Thomás Proença was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matheus Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Thomás Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC La Masia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cutberto Clemente in the 79th minute of play forced FC La Masia's goalkeeper Cesinha do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes Maricá FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Rosado. When Antônio Simão came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC La Masia fans jumped to their feet. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC La Masia fully deserved thier win.
