The supporters of Marumby booed when Guayra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Arano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Fellipe Queirós sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Fernandez skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrián Czornomaz in the 7th minute of play forced Marumby's goalkeeper Inácio Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Fernandez came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Marumby's Fellipe Queirós. But to his dismay, Fellipe Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ferdinant Pierewaaijer scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th match minute, Guayra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Vianna to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes of play, Marumby's Fellipe Queirós made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Fernandez was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 25 played minutes Guayra FC got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Tepedino. After 31 minutes Guayra FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fellipe Queirós who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Luís da Silveira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfredo Fernandez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Guayra FC's João Francisco Baptista got a free kick in the 39th minute. Marumby's Inácio Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Czornomaz in the 41st minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Fellipe Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marumby's Inácio Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Goiano in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Marumby's Ferdinant Pierewaaijer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Fernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Conrado Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Guayra FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Vianna. 63 minutes into the match, Marumby's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Goiano came free, but Inácio Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Guayra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Fernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ferdinant Pierewaaijer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 65 minute of play. Fellipe Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferdinant Pierewaaijer might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferdinant Pierewaaijer ran back to his position shaking his head.
