In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maricá FC's goalkeeper Thomás Proença, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Donato Tejo struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Thomás Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guayra FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrián Czornomaz in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomás Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adrián Czornomaz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Thomás Proença 10 minutes into the match. Guayra FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jânio Tepedino in the 16th minute. 3-0 became the score in the 18th minute when Adrián Czornomaz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thomás Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Czornomaz in the 21st minute of the match. Guayra FC were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Maricá FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jânio Tepedino took the corner. The supporters of Guayra FC booed when Maricá FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Guayra FC's Adrián Czornomaz in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrián Czornomaz was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Maricá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrián Czornomaz came free, but Thomás Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Baltazar Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Guayra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltazar Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Adrián Czornomaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomás Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Thomás Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovani Goiano in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match Guayra FC got a corner. Maricá FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jânio Tepedino ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maricá FC! The referee gave Guayra FC a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jânio Tepedino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maricá FC's Thomás Proença. 8-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrián Czornomaz in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomás Proença saved Maricá FC from getting behind.
