In the 18th minute Rodrigo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Marcos Eger got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 19th minute, Fábio Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gino Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Tostão Cardoso made a huge save. 23 minutes into the game, Montesclarense E.C.'s Marcos Eger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The corner ended in Evandro Penha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Montesclarense E.C.'s Tostão Cardoso did a great save. If Gino Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Moreira in the 34th minute of play. Durval Tinoco hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Porvir FC's Rodrigo Quirino got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Porvir FC's Rodrigo Quirino in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gino Moreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tostão Cardoso having to make a save. 71 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gino Moreira came free, but Tostão Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes Montesclarense E.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Evandro Penha who took care of the corner kick. Tostão Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Montesclarense E.C.'s Tostão Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Quirino in the 79th minute of play. Tostão Cardoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Quirino's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Evandro Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gino Moreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tostão Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gino Moreira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute Gino Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Félix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tostão Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Tostão Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Porvir FC's Rodrigo Quirino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tostão Cardoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Porvir FC had played much better football throughout.
