In the 19th minute Luís Paulo Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manoel Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when Olímpico Blumenau FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Alves in the 34th minute of the match. Edgard de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Siqueira in the 51st minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Montesclarense E.C.'s Manoel Schmidt threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcos Eger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 60th minute Paulão Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos Alves in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard de Almeida saved Montesclarense E.C. from getting behind. Montesclarense E.C. made a substitution. André Luís Schmidt replaced Paulão Medeiros. After 67 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Medeiros. When Olímpico Blumenau FC's Zé Carlos Alves in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. André Luís Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Manoel Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard de Almeida having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Carlos Alves in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Olímpico Blumenau FC's Vladimir Gaspar got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olímpico Blumenau FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Montesclarense E.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
