Pedro Dionísio started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Vale in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Sandalio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Washington Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Ellande in the 5th minute of play. Eriberto Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Triplo Malte F.C.'s Chicão Barros got a free kick in the 11th minute. Eriberto Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ruben Sandalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adrian Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Eriberto Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Washington Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Ellande in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Leonel Ellande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Luizinho Gaúcho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fogo Quente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Triplo Malte F.C. the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Fogo Quente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Vale got free with Ruben Sandalio in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Dionísio might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Washington Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Dionísio ran back to his position shaking his head. Victoriano Lehen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Chicão Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Triplo Malte F.C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Adrian Rios hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eriberto Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. Ruben Sandalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Vale in the 57th minute of play. Fogo Quente's Ruben Sandalio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Vale in the 62nd minute of play. After 67 minutes, Antônio Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Triplo Malte F.C. and the Fogo Quente players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adrian Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Sandalio having to interfere. Ruben Sandalio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Fogo Quente's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Rios came free, but Ruben Sandalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Triplo Malte F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diguinho de Alcântara in the 80th minute. The corner led Triplo Malte F.C.'s Diguinho de Alcântara to fire away a dangerous shot which Ruben Sandalio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Eriberto Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Triplo Malte F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Sandalio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Fogo Quente's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Lehen came free, but Ruben Sandalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fogo Quente were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
