Leonardo Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Peres having to interfere. The supporters of Chapadao Rs booed when Velho Barreiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panagiotis Stamatas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Chapadao Rs's Váldson Miranda got a free kick in the 15th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Horácio Jacinto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 19th minute Nando Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A hard shot by Frechoso Polentinos from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Iker Hidalgo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Chapadao Rs's Erasmo Iratze got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute Naldo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raphael Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zico Galo in the 40th minute of the match. Velho Barreiro FC's Iker Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Michalski in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute Leonardo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Chapadao Rs made a substitution. Sakarias Jelm replaced Rodriguinho Freire. After a defensive mix-up in Chapadao Rs's zone, Zico Galo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raphael Peres came out of the goal and Zico Galo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Michalski came free, but Iker Hidalgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chapadao Rs's Raphael Peres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Chapadao Rs from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Chapadao Rs's Izak Lamonica got a free kick in the 69th minute. Michel Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonardo Gaúcho in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raphael Peres, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chapadao Rs's Raphael Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zico Galo in the 76th minute of play. Iker Hidalgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Barros in the 95th minute of play. Velho Barreiro FC played a much better game than Chapadao Rs and deserved their victory. The Chapadao Rs players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
