Petre Spânu took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arlindo Rossi. Arlindo Rossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Arlindo Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Spânu in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jimeno Henric hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalkeeper Arlindo Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remus Iorda. Glauco Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Glauco Cearense came out of the goal and Gong Zhan Chen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jorginho Sergipano hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The supporters of └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ booed when Villas Matilde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dadá Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldo Simão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Glauco Cearense came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldo Simão slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 56th minute. The └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Ronaldo Simão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Villas Matilde made a substitution. Arthur Araújo replaced Tales Dante. 65 minutes into the match, Gong Zhan Chen notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Villas Matilde's Glauco Cearense. Glauco Cearense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Glauco Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Zhan Chen in the 69th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Villas Matilde's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gong Zhan Chen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Villas Matilde's Gerson Godoi got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th play minute Gong Zhan Chen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Glauco Cearense. 1-5. With a little luck, Villas Matilde's Glauco Cearense got control of the ball when Gong Zhan Chen tried to sneak it across the goal line.
