Paulo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Barbosa in the 4th minute of play. After 5 minutes Misericordia EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dadá Neto who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Dadá Neto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Misericordia EC's Paulo Leão did a great save. In the 8th minute, Pedro Luís Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Paulo Leão successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 15th minute Rodolfo Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Barbosa scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Villas Matilde fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Villas Matilde's Petre Spânu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rodolfo Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faustão Terra might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glauco Cearense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustão Terra ran back to his position shaking his head. Glauco Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Amaral in the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Barbosa in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Rodolfo Barbosa put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo Leão. Paulo Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mei Jing in the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Villas Matilde's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Amaral came free, but Glauco Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Pedro Luís Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glauco Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Terra in the 46th minute of play. Glauco Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zico Maravilha in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zico Maravilha was the one to do the kick off. Zico Maravilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Cearense having to interfere. In the 54th minute Zico Maravilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Zico Maravilha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Glauco Cearense. Villas Matilde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zico Maravilha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petre Spânu in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Leão saved Misericordia EC from getting behind. When Petre Spânu fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villas Matilde's protests and gave Petre Spânu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Petre Spânu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petre Spânu's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mei Jing in the 79th minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Paulo Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Jorginho Sergipano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Misericordia EC's Paulo Leão did a great save. Misericordia EC's Zico Maravilha got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Petre Spânu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Villas Matilde booed when Misericordia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zico Maravilha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Villas Matilde's Jorginho Sergipano got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Villas Matilde's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
