When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gong Zhan Chen made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petre Spânu in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arlindo Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Gong Zhan Chen put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Glauco Cearense. Glauco Cearense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gong Zhan Chen's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Simão in the 85th minute of play forced Villas Matilde's goalkeeper Glauco Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Arlindo Rossi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Villas Matilde's zone, Jimeno Henric stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Cearense came out of the goal and Jimeno Henric tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petre Spânu got free with Arlindo Rossi in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villas Matilde had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
