Romeu Guedes was a little too slow when Chicão Cerezo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-1. Justino Loramendi came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Romeu Guedes could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno do Nascimento in the 34th minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cesar Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Peyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Romeu Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaroslaw Niezgoda in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Vinicio Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Peyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Compostela FSCMZ's Mauro Paulista to fire away a dangerous shot which Romeu Guedes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Romeu Guedes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vinicio Bermudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes, Jaroslaw Niezgoda made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Guararapes's Romeu Guedes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno do Nascimento in the 64th minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cesar Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Cerezo in the 72nd minute of play. Guararapes's Romeu Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Cerezo in the 73rd minute of play. The Guararapes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The supporters of Compostela FSCMZ booed when Guararapes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Compostela FSCMZ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
