Carlinhos da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Cléber Santana notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Carlinhos da Costa. Carlinhos da Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Carlinhos da Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 14-0. Carlinhos da Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléber Santana's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Carlinhos da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After some careless play in the E.C 2 Janeiro RS defense, Cléber Santana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlinhos da Costa. The E.C 2 Janeiro RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlinhos da Costa should have stopped the shot.
