Ronaldo Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Gröhe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Luka Beaugendre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Gröhe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Ferreira Lopes MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Eger to maneuver through the defense. Asmund Nyvold struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Tomé Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Artur Buczko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Basílio Eger lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Ferreira Lopes MZC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ:s goal. The goalkeeper, Tomé Montenegro, was totally fooled by Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Arnaldo Alsua, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Herald Depauw was substituted for Luka Beaugendre.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo Alsua to make the kick off. Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
