When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wanderson Rosa made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Sílvio Simões successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 74 minutes into the game, Inácio Mandrak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Volta Redonda F. Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferreira Lopes MZC the free kick. Inácio Mandrak hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dário Martins got free with Sílvio Simões in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Alcântara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sílvio Simões. Ronaldo Alcântara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The supporters of Ferreira Lopes MZC booed when Volta Redonda F. Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volta Redonda F. Clube's Sílvio Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Volta Redonda F. Clube from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Ronaldo Alcântara took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Sílvio Simões to make any attempt to save it. When Ronaldo Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ferreira Lopes MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Ronaldo Alcântara succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 98th playminute. When the final whistle sounded Ferreira Lopes MZC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Volta Redonda F. Clube.
