In the 17th minute Du Song Lin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Du Song Lin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurício Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. São Bento's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Du Song Lin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Vicente do Nascimento put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of São Bento:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Milan da Freguesia F.C.:s goal. Du Song Lin might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Du Song Lin ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurício Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Du Song Lin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. São Bento's Maurício Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Du Song Lin in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Du Song Lin in the 38th minute of play forced São Bento's goalkeeper Maurício Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Du Song Lin to make the kick off. Du Song Lin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Veiga having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Du Song Lin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maurício Veiga. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 59th minute, Du Song Lin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Du Song Lin got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, one of São Bento:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for São Bento. Maurício Veiga was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Du Song Lin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Du Song Lin really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. In the 80th minute, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Du Song Lin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. 83 minutes into the game, Chicão Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Bento the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Du Song Lin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maurício Veiga. That made the score 0-10 after 88 minutes of play. 91 minutes into the game, Du Song Lin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maurício Veiga. Du Song Lin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind São Bento's goalkeeper Maurício Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Ange Di Maria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
