Leon Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 8 played minutes Fúria Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Fernandes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingvar Kollberg got free with Júlio Porto in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the game, Marcel Ramos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Júlio Porto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Luís Fabiano Cerezo fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fúria Futebol Clube's protests and gave Luís Fabiano Cerezo a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Fabiano Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Jon Loarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Fúria Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Soares to maneuver through the defense. Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Fúria Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Marcel Ramos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 26 minutes into the match, Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Júlio Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdo Prado. Leon Sport Club were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Fúria Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ingvar Kollberg took the corner. A collision led to Leon Sport Club getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rafinha Silva hit a great ball. After 32nd play minutes Jon Loarte shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Júlio Porto and just under the crossbar into goal. 37 minutes into the match, Fúria Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Loarte came free, but Júlio Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Porto was a little too slow when Jon Loarte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 5-0. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Jon Loarte sped through Fúria Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júlio Porto.
Cristian Pernambucano's late challenge caught a Leon Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Pernambucano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Cristian Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Leon Sport Club fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Leon Sport Club's Jon Loarte looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 59thth minute of the game Jon Loarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Leon Sport Club's Jon Loarte in 60 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Júlio Porto guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Loarte in the 62nd minute of play forced Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Júlio Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Loarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Sport Club's João Augusto Costa was substituted for Jon Loarte. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fúria Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ingvar Kollberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Leon Sport Club's players had a chance to rest. Ingvar Kollberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fabiano Cerezo was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Júlio Porto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Leon Sport Club's Valdo Prado shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Júlio Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Fúria Futebol Clube's Durval Rossi got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Giovanni Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Costa in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Valdo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valdir de Senna fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fúria Futebol Clube's protests and gave Valdir de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Valdir de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
