A collision led to Palmitos Futebol Clube SC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Paulo Ceresso hit a great ball. Douglas Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Washington Carneiro made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Ademir Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clóvis Reis was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 15th minute, Tiberiu Ulici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Washington Carneiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Douglas Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Washington Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Washington Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jon Loarte in the 35th minute. Washington Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Loarte in the 41st minute of the match. Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Daniel Vander scored to the left of an out of position Washington Carneiro, making the score, 3-0. A collision led to Leon Sport Club getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Daniel Vander hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jon Loarte made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Leon Sport Club's zone, Vânderson Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clóvis Reis came out of the goal and Vânderson Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Jon Loarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Washington Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Loarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ademir Costa in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clóvis Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 66 minutes of play, Leon Sport Club's Jon Loarte made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Washington Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leon Sport Club's João Augusto Costa was substituted for Jon Loarte. 76 minutes into the match, Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Costa came free, but Washington Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Leon Sport Club's Douglas Ferreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Washington Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Augusto Costa in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Washington Carneiro saved Palmitos Futebol Clube SC from getting behind. When Leon Sport Club's João Augusto Costa in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th match minute, Palmitos Futebol Clube SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Martins to maneuver through the defense. João Augusto Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 8-0 when João Augusto Costa sped through Palmitos Futebol Clube SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Washington Carneiro.
