The supporters of Monte Olimpo booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Monte Olimpo's goal looked a bit too open when Dre Schipmans came free, but Nicolas Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fernando Lucas hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Zé Roberto Grimaldo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sport Club Mavericks's Marcelo Gröhe didn't even have to move. Marcelo Gröhe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pipo Inzaghi in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Pimenta in the 19th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Gröhe made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Conrado Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute Dre Schipmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes, Dre Schipmans made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Monte Olimpo's Nicolas Varela tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Monte Olimpo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Falcão Senna hit a great ball. Sílvio Luiz de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 35th minute Luizão Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pipo Inzaghi charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pipo Inzaghi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sport Club Mavericks's Mathias de Queiroz was substituted for Fernando Lucas. Pipo Inzaghi kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pipo Inzaghi. After 45 played minutes Monte Olimpo got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Grimaldo. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Amadeu Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Mavericks's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luizão Lima to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's Luizão Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolas Varela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Monte Olimpo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sport Club Mavericks's Dre Schipmans in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Monte Olimpo's Nicolas Varela tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Monte Olimpo booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Conrado Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Amauri Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monte Olimpo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club Mavericks the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Monte Olimpo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Zhuo Yin Hong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Varela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Monte Olimpo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Luizão Lima scored to the left of an out of position Nicolas Varela, making the score, 0-4. 90 minutes into the match, Zhuo Yin Hong notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Monte Olimpo's Nicolas Varela. Nicolas Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Luizão Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Monte Olimpo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sport Club Mavericks's performance. The match ended with a win for Sport Club Mavericks.
