Juventudes Libertárias's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Murillo Figueiredo scored to the left of an out of position Mauro Eliazar, making the score, 1-1. Ritvaldis Rau might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elói de Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ritvaldis Rau ran back to his position shaking his head. When Lúcio da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventudes Libertárias's protests and gave Lúcio da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Juventudes Libertárias getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lúcio da Silveira hit a great ball. Mauro Eliazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Figueiredo in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute GLocos do Cerrado FC were awarded a corner. Agnaldo Negri went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led GLocos do Cerrado FC's Agnaldo Negri to fire away a dangerous shot which Mauro Eliazar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, GLocos do Cerrado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Almeida came free, but Elói de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes GLocos do Cerrado FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rubinho Loureiro who took care of the corner kick. Juventudes Libertárias's Alexsandro Simão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elói de Andrade in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Juventudes Libertárias's Agostinho Almeida in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GLocos do Cerrado FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Loyola in the 28th minute of play forced Juventudes Libertárias's goalkeeper Mauro Eliazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GLocos do Cerrado FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Agnaldo Negri hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Juventudes Libertárias's Rubinho Loureiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 39 minutes into the match, Ritvaldis Rau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elói de Andrade. GLocos do Cerrado FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ritvaldis Rau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Paulo José Loyola's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mauro Eliazar firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 46th minute Agostinho Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ritvaldis Rau to make the kick off. Mauro Eliazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Manuel Lavandero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Eliazar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Manuel Lavandero's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Mauro Eliazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Alagoano in the 54th minute of the match. The throw-in from Márcio Santos in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GLocos do Cerrado FC's Elano Martins. Marcelo Alagoano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Eliazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Juventudes Libertárias made a substitution. Kauan Silveira replaced Gilson Meirelles. Kauan Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Elói de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elói de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Elói de Andrade made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Agostinho Almeida sent off a good shot on target. Juventudes Libertárias's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
