After a rather tough play, Catadão's Hernani Pires got a free kick in the 9th minute. Dé Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deivid de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Gustave Rat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jardel Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute Teodoro Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Leo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jardel Reis made a huge save. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Leo was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Dé Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Andrade. Jardel Reis came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Canarinho Atordoado's Márcio Seabra. But to his dismay, Márcio Seabra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After 63 minutes Catadão's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tuncer İlbaşı who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Canarinho Atordoado's corner Gustave Rat fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jardel Reis quite easily take care of the ball. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Dé Mello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chu Yun Lei in the 69th minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Dé Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Chu Yun Lei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Canarinho Atordoado's Anísio Queirós was substituted for Tuncer İlbaşı. Gustave Rat struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jardel Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canarinho Atordoado. Gustave Rat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jardel Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Dé Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid de Salles in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute Catadão were awarded a corner. Chu Yun Lei went to the cornerflag to take it. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Zafran Chien-Kwan took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Dé Mello to make any attempt to save it. Gustave Rat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Reis having to interfere. Dé Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Andrade in the 93rd minute. Gustave Rat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jardel Reis having to make a save. In the 94th minute Gustave Rat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Canarinho Atordoado fans cheered their team off the field, for while Catadão had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
