A collision led to Morungaba SC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alf Odman hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Luiz Leo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Mpenza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Morungaba SC's Nestor Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Seabra in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Luiz Leo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Leo in the 60th minute of play forced Morungaba SC's goalkeeper Nestor Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Torres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Leo went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Leo got free with Nestor Torres in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
