Régis Coutinhos short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Kong Gang Zhan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcus Batista took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guilherme Mendonça. Guilherme Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. If Régis Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kong Gang Zhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Régis Coutinho's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 41 minutes of play, Cremonese FC's Felipe Branco made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guilherme Mendonça was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 44 played minutes Cremonese FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Batista. 47 minutes into the game, Régis Coutinho lined in a short shot 2-5 behind a frustrated Kong Gang Zhan. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-5.

The supporters of FC St. Pauli booed when Cremonese FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 72nd minute Marcus Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Branco got free with Guilherme Mendonça in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC St. Pauli's Guilherme Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save FC St. Pauli from getting a goal against them. Felipe Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Guilherme Mendonça made a huge save. Edmílson Toscano's late challenge caught a Cremonese FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmílson Toscano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cremonese FC booed when FC St. Pauli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Batista let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 96th minute shot 2-8 at rihgt post. Cremonese FC played a much better game than FC St. Pauli and deserved their victory. The FC St. Pauli players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
