In the 9th minute, Cremonese FC's Afiz Cho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, FC St. Pauli's Basílio Moura got control of the ball when Felipe Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Moreno struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Kong Gang Zhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC St. Pauli. 22 minutes into the match, Marcus Batista notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC St. Pauli's Basílio Moura. Basílio Moura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. FC St. Pauli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Batista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 65 minutes into the match, FC St. Pauli's goal looked a bit too open when Yasar Bonnemain came free, but Basílio Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cremonese FC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Cremonese FC's Felipe Branco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 86th minute Felipe Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Oséias Sergipano fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC St. Pauli's protests and gave Oséias Sergipano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Oséias Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Moura came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Cremonese FC's Marcus Batista. But to his dismay, Marcus Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cremonese FC fully deserved thier win.
