Natingui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basílio Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliseu Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Guerra in the 10th minute of play forced FC St. Pauli's goalkeeper Basílio Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Munhoz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Alisson Taffarel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 38 played minutes FC St. Pauli got a freekick which was hit by Fred Urbano. Jonas Fantini, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Basílio Moura yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
