In the 3rd minute, Tiago Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamílton Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Ligeiro F.C's Elói Barreto got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 9 minutes, Flávio Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bandeca FC and the Ligeiro F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ligeiro F.C booed when Bandeca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Gamus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ligeiro F.C's Tomé Corrêa got a free kick in the 15th minute. Guaberto Gamus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Bandeca FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Cearense. 23 minutes into the match, Ligeiro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Hunor Adam came free, but Hamílton Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaberto Gamus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Ramalho in the 34th minute of the match. When Orlando Sampaio fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ligeiro F.C's protests and gave Orlando Sampaio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ligeiro F.C's Orlando Sampaio got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 43 played minutes Bandeca FC got a freekick which was hit by Márcio de Salles. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Durvalino Salles in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamílton Chaves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guaberto Gamus made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Frank Tasso sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elói Barreto got free with Guaberto Gamus in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Tasso in the 59th minute of play forced Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Gamus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elói Barreto. With a little luck, Bandeca FC's Guaberto Gamus got control of the ball when Adelino Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Hunor Adam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandeca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hunor Adam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bandeca FC made a substitution. Fernando Banders replaced Tiago Ortiz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Banders in the 71st minute of play forced Ligeiro F.C's goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Luiz Fabiano Cearense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Chaves skillfully saved the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Ligeiro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Salles came free, but Hamílton Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ligeiro F.C's Sandro Paulista was substituted for Elói Barreto. After 81 minutes, Adelino Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ligeiro F.C and the Bandeca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Igor Mota struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Hamílton Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandeca FC. Hamílton Chaves came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Bandeca FC's Igor Mota. But to his dismay, Igor Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 89th minute Adelino Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Gamus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bandeca FC's Guaberto Gamus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Bandeca FC from getting a goal against them. Tomé Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Bandeca FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
