The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Malte Örtendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dito Dionísio lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 11 minutes into the game, one of FC St. Pauli:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Malte Örtendahl sped through FC St. Pauli's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Basílio Moura. In the 18th minute, Belmiro Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Basílio Moura. FC St. Pauli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Basílio Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Örtendahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. FC St. Pauli's Pedro Luiz Trevisan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Severino Vergílio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Malte Örtendahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Moura having to interfere. A collision led to Estação F.C getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luizinho Ramos hit a great ball. FC St. Pauli's Basílio Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Örtendahl in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC St. Pauli's Fred Urbano got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Basílio Moura was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Belmiro Figueiredo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Belmiro Figueiredo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Basílio Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseu Cabral went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malte Örtendahl in the 85th minute of play forced FC St. Pauli's goalkeeper Basílio Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Moura came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Estação F.C's Malte Örtendahl. But to his dismay, Malte Örtendahl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliseu Cabral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Basílio Moura. That made the score 0-13 in the 91 minute of play. Basílio Moura was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Eliseu Cabral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliseu Cabral really showed his touch with that goal: 0-14. The FC St. Pauli fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Estação F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
