Bastioes EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. LaCity's Arthur Paiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Igor Marinho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jairo Arantes took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Décio Tróia. Décio Tróia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Décio Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cássio Freitas's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Igor Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Bastioes EC's Adalberto Félix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Décio Tróia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bastioes EC's Igor Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Viana in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Bastioes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Dias to maneuver through the defense. After 90 minutes, Jairo Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bastioes EC and the LaCity players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bastioes EC's Jairo Arantes got a free kick in the 90th minute. Bastioes EC played a much better game than LaCity and deserved their victory. The LaCity players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
