If Paulo Renato Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Santana in the 12th minute of play forced KEIPER F. C.'s goalkeeper Eliseu Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Carlos Santana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliseu Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind KEIPER F. C.'s goalkeeper Eliseu Mendes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eliseu Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Santana in the 20th minute of the match. Eliseu Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseu Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Santana in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Carlos Santana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Eliseu Mendes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliseu Mendes came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana. But to his dismay, Carlos Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Paulo Renato Saraiva scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Mendes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Délio Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The KEIPER F. C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galo do Japi were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Santana to make the kick off. Jeferson Senna hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute Galo do Japi were awarded a corner. Cafu Ringaa went to the cornerflag to take it. Carlos Santana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliseu Mendes having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Santana in the 57th minute of play forced KEIPER F. C.'s goalkeeper Eliseu Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Santana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliseu Mendes having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Santana got free with Eliseu Mendes in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in KEIPER F. C.'s zone, Carlos Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Mendes came out of the goal and Carlos Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Jarbas Perez in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Galo do Japi's Ahmet Demir. If Carlos Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Santana in the 70th minute of play forced KEIPER F. C.'s goalkeeper Eliseu Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Santana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliseu Mendes having to make a save. Carlos Santana's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eliseu Mendes firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 73 minutes, Carlos Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galo do Japi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to KEIPER F. C. getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jarbas Perez hit a great ball. Eliseu Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Carlos Santana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eliseu Mendes, 0-5. KEIPER F. C.'s Eliseu Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Santana in the 83rd minute of play. Carlos Santana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliseu Mendes having to make a save. Eliseu Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo Giovanelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Faria in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Eriberto de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Jeferson Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronaldo Giovanelli. Galo do Japi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeferson Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Galo do Japi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
