After some careless play in the Psiu! defense, Carlos Santana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Munhoz. The Psiu! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Munhoz should have stopped the shot. Carlos Santana got in the 27th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but José Munhoz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Santana in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Munhoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Santana in the 30th minute of play. Carlos Santana took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Munhoz. José Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Carlos Santana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Munhoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Dantas in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Galo do Japi got a corner. Psiu!'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cafu Ringaa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cafu Ringaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. José Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Giovanelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison Robben, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Psiu! players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galo do Japi were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Carlos Santana made the kick off in the second half. When Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Psiu!'s José Munhoz got control of the ball when Carlos Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldo Giovanelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Munhoz had great luck who in the 65thth minute grab hold of the ball when Carlos Santana from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ronaldo Giovanelli came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Psiu!'s Deilmison Robben. But to his dismay, Deilmison Robben quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The throw-in from Valério Alves in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galo do Japi's Zeca Caca-Rato. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Santana in the 72nd minute of play forced Psiu!'s goalkeeper José Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Santana got free with José Munhoz in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Munhoz came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana. But to his dismay, Carlos Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Carlos Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Munhoz having to interfere. Carlos Santana took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Munhoz. José Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. In the 88th minute, Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind José Munhoz. José Munhoz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. In the 92ndth minute of the game Carlos Santana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Psiu!'s José Munhoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Carlos Santana notched a goal, 1-9, to the right of Psiu!'s José Munhoz. José Munhoz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Galo do Japi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
