Enéas Queirós started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Cactos booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Marcos Para hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cengizhan Baycan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18thth minute of the game Cengizhan Baycan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alvinegro Carioca's Fiori Koehler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cengizhan Baycan in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fiori Koehler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute Enéas Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Allison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bran Allison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baybars-Tolgahan Balta, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the Alvinegro Carioca defense, Cengizhan Baycan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fiori Koehler. The Alvinegro Carioca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fiori Koehler should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the game, Alvinegro Carioca's Bruno Africano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bran Allison made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Fiori Koehler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cengizhan Baycan went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 46 minutes into the match, Alvinegro Carioca's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Bagge came free, but Fiori Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Cactos's Cengizhan Baycan to fire away a dangerous shot which Fiori Koehler despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half Cactos were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cengizhan Baycans short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Fiori Koehler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 55th minute, Peter Bagge fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Fiori Koehler. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Cactos's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Peter Bagge in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fiori Koehler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 57th minute, Bruno Africano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cactos's Luisinho Maciel was substituted for Cengizhan Baycan. Fiori Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival de Carvalho in the 61st minute of the match. Luisinho Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fiori Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cactos's Nando Leal was substituted for Conrado Capixaba. Bran Allison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Africano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bran Allison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baybars-Tolgahan Balta in the 66th minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, Alvinegro Carioca's Bruno Africano made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bran Allison was left in no man's land by his defense there! 75 minutes into the game, Peter Bagge recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fiori Koehler. Peter Bagge showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. In the 79th minute of the match Cactos got a corner. Alvinegro Carioca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dorival de Carvalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carl Beck made a great header on Cactos's corner, it was just that Alvinegro Carioca's Fiori Koehler managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Cactos booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baybars-Tolgahan Balta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvinegro Carioca's Fiori Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival de Carvalho in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Cactos were awarded a corner. Dorival de Carvalho went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 89thth minute of the game Luisinho Maciel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alvinegro Carioca's Fiori Koehler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisinho Maciel got free with Fiori Koehler in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luisinho Maciel in the 98thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fiori Koehler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Cactos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cactos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
