Murilo Pena charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 6 minutes into the game, Frank Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brasilino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E. C. Uruguaiana the free kick. After a rather tough play, Brasilino's Frank Senna got a free kick in the 6th minute. E. C. Uruguaiana's Mauro Maranhense was substituted for Flavius Marinescu. The supporters of E. C. Uruguaiana booed when Brasilino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Xavier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maicon Palmeira's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. With a little luck, E. C. Uruguaiana's Vicente Guimarães got control of the ball when Pedro Paulo Furlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The E. C. Uruguaiana fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when E. C. Uruguaiana's Maicon Palmeira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Maicon Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 17 minutes into the match, Brasilino's goal looked a bit too open when Maicon Palmeira came free, but Humberto Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, E. C. Uruguaiana's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paulo Furlan came free, but Vicente Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brasilino's Humberto Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Palmeira in the 23rd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Brasilino:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of E. C. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Geovani Mendonça put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Humberto Xavier. Uruguaiana's Geovani Mendonça made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Xavier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Juninho Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The corner ended in Valdemar da Cunha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Brasilino's Humberto Xavier did a great save. In the 55th minute, Maicon Palmeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E. C. Uruguaiana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 72nd minute, Maicon Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Xavier was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Brasilino's Humberto Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Mendonça in the 75th minute of play. Humberto Xavier made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Maicon Palmeira sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the match, Maicon Palmeira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Humberto Xavier, 0-9. Ediberto Martins made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Murilo Pena however managed to control. Humberto Xavier came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by E. C. Uruguaiana's Maicon Palmeira. But to his dismay, Maicon Palmeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maicon Palmeira in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Xavier saved Brasilino from getting behind. Humberto Xavier didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 0-11. When the match was over E. C. Uruguaiana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brasilino throughout the match.
