Alfredão de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Fetor having to interfere. Zé Paulo Rosado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt Bouchard in the 19th minute. FÊNIX F.C. were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Sobreiro Fênix's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marquinhos Teixeira took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Pedro Luís Pereira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zé Paulo Rosado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st minute, Pedro Luís Pereira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zé Paulo Rosado. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Gabriel Damião got free with Zé Paulo Rosado in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bengt Bouchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sobreiro Fênix had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
