Damian Fetor came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Faustão Châton. But to his dismay, Faustão Châton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 34thth minute of the game Renato Augusto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FÊNIX F.C.'s Damian Fetor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damian Fetor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Augusto in the 36th minute of play. Bengt Bouchard hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Damian Fetor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 37th minute of play. Bengt Bouchard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Aurelio Walme made a huge save. After the first half S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marquinhos Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. Aurelio Walme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 52nd minute of the match. If Krisztián Véber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FÊNIX F.C. booed when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. FÊNIX F.C.'s Gilberto Leite was substituted for Tiago Gabriel Damião. A collision led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gláuber Tande hit a great ball. Arthur Loureiro hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Damian Fetor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renato Augusto's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Aurelio Walme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 70th minute of play. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damian Fetor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lei Feng Yan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Augusto in the 83rd minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucio Siekkötter succeeded in the game's 87th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Lei Feng Yan succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
