Brasilino's Humberto Xavier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Brasilino from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute, Wilton Bezerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sobreiro Fênix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão de Medeiros in the 8th minute of play forced Brasilino's goalkeeper Humberto Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Bezerra in the 12th minute of play forced Brasilino's goalkeeper Humberto Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Xavier made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Didi de Lima sent off a good shot on target. Sobreiro Fênix's Zé Paulo Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Nóbrega in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Aírton Nóbrega made a precise shot to the right of Zé Paulo Rosado. Sobreiro Fênix's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Humberto Xavier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredão de Medeiros in the 19th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Sobreiro Fênix's Ernani do Valle made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Xavier was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Brasilino's Humberto Xavier got control of the ball when Alfredão de Medeiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Sobreiro Fênix's Alfredão de Medeiros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Humberto Xavier. Humberto Xavier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Didi de Lima got free with Humberto Xavier in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aírton Nóbrega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Paulo Rosado having to make a save. Humberto Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th play minute Alfredão de Medeiros came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Humberto Xavier. 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani do Valle got free with Humberto Xavier in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Humberto Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Humberto Xavier came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sobreiro Fênix's Wilton Bezerra. But to his dismay, Wilton Bezerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 56 minutes into the match, Ernani do Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Xavier. Brasilino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernani do Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. In the 59th minute, Wilton Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Alfredão de Medeiros notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Brasilino's Humberto Xavier. Humberto Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Humberto Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, Wilton Bezerra made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Xavier. Brasilino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Ernani do Valle took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Xavier. Humberto Xavier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. Zé Paulo Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Senna in the 79th minute of the match. Humberto Xavier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilton Bezerra went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 10-1 was the resulting score. 88 minutes into the match, Sobreiro Fênix's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Nóbrega came free, but Zé Paulo Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Brasilino defense, Alfredão de Medeiros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Xavier. The Brasilino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Xavier should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Sobreiro Fênix were the better team. Sobreiro Fênix's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
