Spectators: 147 (Terracing: 111, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) Esporte Club Bahia's Luís Eduardo Salles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Galen Kvick hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Dudu Magalhães hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Angelo Salgado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldo de Moraes skillfully saved the ball. After 13 played minutes Esporte Club Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Passos. Dudu Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Lomba came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Vista Alegre FC's Robustiano Clementi. But to his dismay, Robustiano Clementi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 23 played minutes Esporte Club Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Salles. Robustiano Clementi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Lomba having to make a save. Robustiano Clementi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dudu Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 36 minutes, Dudu Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vista Alegre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Lomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute Dudu Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Lomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute Vista Alegre FC were awarded a corner. Igor Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Galen Kvick almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba did a great save. In the 42nd minute, Dudu Magalhães made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Lomba. Esporte Club Bahia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 46th minute of the game Jean Sampaio made a throw-in which Luiz Gustavo Paes played forward. After the first half Vista Alegre FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robustiano Clementi made a kick off. Marcelo Lomba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dudu Magalhães went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, Esporte Club Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Clementi came free, but Marcelo Lomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Esporte Club Bahia booed when Vista Alegre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vista Alegre FC's Norberto de Azevedo was substituted for Dudu Magalhães. After 69 played minutes Vista Alegre FC got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Magalhães. Norberto de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marcelo Lomba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Marcelo Lomba managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Vista Alegre FC's Norberto de Azevedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Norberto de Azevedo had several of the Esporte Club Bahia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Marcelo Lomba as he didn't even see the shot coming. Norberto de Azevedo came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcelo Lomba could save by the left post. Robustiano Clementi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Lomba having to interfere. Marcelo Lomba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto de Azevedo in the 89th minute. Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Esporte Club Bahia from getting a goal against them. Vista Alegre FC's Norberto de Azevedo suffered a concussion in the 94th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 94 minutes, Clóvis Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esporte Club Bahia and the Vista Alegre FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vista Alegre FC's Walmyr Tasso was substituted for Norberto de Azevedo. After a rather tough play, Esporte Club Bahia's Clóvis Passos got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Vista Alegre FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
