The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vivaldo de Salles hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Lucas Beltran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Lomba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Esporte Club Bahia's Gilberto Quadros got a free kick in the 10th minute. The corner ended in Fidelio Di Maria almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba did a great save. In the 14th minute, Lucas Beltran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucas Beltran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Lomba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Marcelo Lomba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Beltran in the 18th minute of the match. Marcelo Lomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Lucas Beltran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Lomba. Esporte Club Bahia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Beltran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 29th minute Lucas Beltran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Lomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Crisólia FBPA's Lucas Beltran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Lomba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Lucas Beltran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crisólia FBPA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Marcelo Lomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Beltran in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Esporte Club Bahia's Luiz Gustavo Paes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ismael Toscano. Ismael Toscano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Beltran made a kick off. Crisólia FBPA's attentive Cléberson Fantini managed to snatch the ball when Jean Sampaio made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. Lucas Beltran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Lomba came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Crisólia FBPA's Fidelio Di Maria. But to his dismay, Fidelio Di Maria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After having played for 60 minutes, Lucas Beltran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crisólia FBPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Beltran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Gustavo Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Cléberson Fantini could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Marcelo Lomba however easily saved by the left post. Luís Eduardo Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ismael Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Crisólia FBPA's Lucas Beltran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Lomba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. 75 minutes into the match, Crisólia FBPA's Lucas Beltran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Lomba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Crisólia FBPA's Lucas Beltran got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucas Beltran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Lomba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Lucas Beltran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Marcelo Lomba made a huge save. Marcelo Lomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Beltran in the 84th minute of play. Ismael Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Amed Dersim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Lomba having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Esporte Club Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Beltran came free, but Marcelo Lomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Crisólia FBPA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
