The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Esporte Club Bahia booed when VitóriA DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Luiz Gustavo Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğuhan Binışık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esporte Club Bahia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiago Xavier in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, VitóriA DMZ's Wanderson de Lima got a free kick in the 21st minute. VitóriA DMZ's Doğuhan Binışık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Salles in the 22nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Gustavo Paes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Doğuhan Binışık quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A hard shot 31 in the game by 姚国鹏 from a close distance when the talented Marcelo Lomba managed to make a qualified save. Esporte Club Bahia's players were relieved. In the 32nd match minute, VitóriA DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes, 姚国鹏 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VitóriA DMZ and the Esporte Club Bahia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, VitóriA DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 姚国鹏 to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Eduardo Salles couldn't finish the play. The VitóriA DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Esporte Club Bahia were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charlie Strömberg was the one to do the kick off. Charlie Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Strömberg in the 53rd minute of play forced Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the game, VitóriA DMZ's Charlie Strömberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Lomba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Strömberg in the 59th minute of play. Marcelo Lomba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Coutinho in the 61st minute of the match. Doğuhan Binışık made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Luís Eduardo Salles sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd match minute, VitóriA DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardinho Vargas to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Luís Eduardo Salles made a precise shot to the right of Doğuhan Binışık. VitóriA DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Marcelo Lomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 姚国鹏 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, VitóriA DMZ could leave the field as winners, despite Esporte Club Bahia having more of the ball for most of the match.
