With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Vítor Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 4th minute Vista Alegre FC were awarded a corner. Igor Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. Gilmar Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo de Moraes having to interfere. José Vítor Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Clementi in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Vista Alegre FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Couto came free, but Ronaldo de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's goal looked a bit too open when Galen Kvick came free, but José Vítor Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Vítor Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Galen Kvick in the 15th minute of play. José Vítor Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Gilmar Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo de Moraes having to interfere. If Robustiano Clementi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robustiano Clementi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Primitivo Ibar in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Botafogo MZRJ's Juvenal Camargo. Robustiano Clementi might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Vítor Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robustiano Clementi ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Robustiano Clementi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Vítor Netto was relentless in the 39th minute of the game.

José Vítor Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Botafogo MZRJ's José Vítor Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Clementi in the 54th minute of play. José Vítor Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robustiano Clementi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dudu Magalhães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Vítor Netto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Dudu Magalhães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Vítor Netto. That made the score 0-2 in the 62 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Clementi got free with José Vítor Netto in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronaldo de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilmar Couto went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Vista Alegre FC's Robustiano Clementi got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Melo made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vista Alegre FC's Primitivo Ibar. If Robustiano Clementi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's goalkeeper José Vítor Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robustiano Clementi. Álvaro Melo's late challenge caught a Vista Alegre FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Álvaro Melo helped the player get up and apologised. José Vítor Netto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 85th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Igor Souza. 86 minutes into the game, Juvenal Camargo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botafogo MZRJ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vista Alegre FC the free kick. Juvenal Camargo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robustiano Clementi in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Vítor Netto saved Botafogo MZRJ from getting behind. José Vítor Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Vista Alegre FC were awarded a corner. Igor Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. Robustiano Clementi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but José Vítor Netto made a huge save. Robustiano Clementi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of José Vítor Netto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vista Alegre FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
