An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Barros in the 4th minute of play forced Macaco F.C.'s goalkeeper Geovanni Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovanni Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After some careless play in the Macaco F.C. defense, Sérgio Braga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovanni Pinho. The Macaco F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovanni Pinho should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Marcinho Barros put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Geovanni Pinho. After some careless play in the Macaco F.C. defense, Claudinho Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovanni Pinho. Geovanni Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the game, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Claudinho Fernandes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovanni Pinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Geovanni Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinho Fernandes went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Sérgio Braga took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovanni Pinho. Geovanni Pinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. After 41 minutes of play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Claudinho Fernandes made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovanni Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the match, Claudinho Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovanni Pinho. Macaco F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinho Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12. Disappointed in the 0-12 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Fernandes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geovanni Pinho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudinho Fernandes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 55 minute of play. After some careless play in the Macaco F.C. defense, Claudinho Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovanni Pinho. In the 71st minute of the match, Claudinho Fernandes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geovanni Pinho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Silvério de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Víktor Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macaco F.C.. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério de Mendonça in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Víktor Freire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Víktor Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvério de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute, Marcinho Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanni Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-18. Geovanni Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcinho Barros in the 86th minute of play. Geovanni Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcinho Barros went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-20 was the resulting score. Silvério de Mendonça's late challenge caught a Ibirama Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvério de Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Barros got free with Geovanni Pinho in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Glauco Negri hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Marcinho Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovanni Pinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-21. Ibirama Futebol Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
