Patrick Fontes hit a great ball. After 4 minutes of play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Claudinho Fernandes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Betão de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 7 minutes into the game, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Claudinho Fernandes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Betão de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Agostinho Cabral got a free kick in the 10th minute. Betão de Moraes came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibirama Futebol Clube's Claudinho Fernandes. But to his dismay, Claudinho Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Betão de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agostinho Cabral went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute Claudinho Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Marcinho Barros made a precise shot to the right of Betão de Moraes. 20 de Março FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Cabral in the 29th minute of play forced 20 de Março FC's goalkeeper Betão de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Marcinho Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Betão de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, 20 de Março FC's Michel Madureira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Michel Madureira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of 20 de Março FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Michel Madureira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 20 de Março FC! In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Ibirama Futebol Clube. Claudinho Fernandes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Betão de Moraes. 0-7. After a rather tough play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Claudinho Fernandes got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Betão de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Cabral in the 45th minute of the match. Claudinho Fernandes took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betão de Moraes. Betão de Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Fernandes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudinho Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Betão de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcinho Barros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Betão de Moraes. That made the score 0-9 in the 54 minute of play. Betão de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Fernandes in the 60th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ibirama Futebol Clube's Marcinho Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Betão de Moraes. That made the score 0-10 after 61 minutes of play. After 64 played minutes Ibirama Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Barros. Betão de Moraes was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Sérgio Braga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sérgio Braga really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. Betão de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agostinho Cabral went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the 20 de Março FC defense, Marcinho Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betão de Moraes. The 20 de Março FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão de Moraes should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the match, 20 de Março FC's goalkeeper Betão de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agostinho Cabral. Renan Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 78th play minute Agostinho Cabral came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Betão de Moraes. 0-14. 20 de Março FC's Betão de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save 20 de Março FC from getting a goal against them. Claudinho Fernandes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Betão de Moraes came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudinho Fernandes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-15 in the 82nd minute. Claudinho Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Agostinho Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betão de Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-16. Agostinho Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Betão de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Claudinho Fernandes notched a goal, 0-17, to the right of 20 de Março FC's Betão de Moraes. Betão de Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Betão de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Claudinho Fernandes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Betão de Moraes. Betão de Moraes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-18. When the match was over Ibirama Futebol Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than 20 de Março FC throughout the match.
