When Vivaldo Paes came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the MACUMBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vivaldo Paes couldn't finish the play. With his leg Ulisses Porto managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when MACUMBA's Josué Quintal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 9th minute, José Jofre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josué Quintal didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 13th minute. MACUMBA's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Josué Quintal sped through Atlético Piauiense's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ulisses Porto. After having played for 27 minutes, José Jofre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MACUMBA's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Jofre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josué Quintal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Ulisses Porto made a huge save. In the 30th minute, Vivaldo Paes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ulisses Porto, passed just outside the right post. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Piauiense's goalkeeper Ulisses Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Jofre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ulisses Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute of the match Elói Lira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manga Santos skillfully saved the ball. Mazinho Correia hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Renatinho de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

MACUMBA's Flann Flack was substituted for Josué Quintal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flann Flack stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Flann Flack made a precise shot to the right of Ulisses Porto. Atlético Piauiense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 67 minutes into the match, Flann Flack notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Atlético Piauiense's Ulisses Porto. Ulisses Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 71 minutes of play, MACUMBA's Flann Flack made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulisses Porto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Piauiense's zone, Tiaguinho Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulisses Porto came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiaguinho Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flann Flack blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulisses Porto having to make a save. If Flann Flack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flann Flack in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulisses Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Flann Flack's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Porto was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Tiaguinho Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulisses Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiaguinho Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. José Jofre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ulisses Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulisses Porto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when MACUMBA's Flann Flack shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-0 in the ordered_time% minute. MACUMBA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
