Manga Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Zatorski in the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Zbigniew Zatorski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manga Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Raphael Dantas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vivaldo Paes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbigniew Zatorski in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manga Santos saved MACUMBA from getting behind. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Zbigniew Zatorski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Manga Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute, Zbigniew Zatorski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manga Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. MACUMBA's Manga Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbigniew Zatorski in the 41st minute of play. Raphael Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Simeone in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match, José Jofre tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raphael Dantas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

MACUMBA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Giovanni Simeone hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Simo Mihklisaar made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 97thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Manga Santos would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post.
