Vinícius Olgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogério Negri's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute of the match Fielzão got a corner. Olgado™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arvid Treiner ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vinícius Olgado firmly grabbed it by the left post. 27 minutes into the game, Arvid Treiner lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Vinícius Olgado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andi Jovanović in the 31st minute of play forced Fielzão's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Olgado™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Massa to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Olgado™'s Vinícius Olgado got control of the ball when Arvid Treiner tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Olgado™ booed when Fielzão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fábio Quadros hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos to make the kick off. Vinícius Olgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arvid Treiner went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Luisão Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Fielzão made a substitution. Ciro de Alcântara replaced Afonsinho Zonta. In the 59th minute, Luisão Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinícius Olgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 69 played minutes Fielzão got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Leal. Wiliam Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruninho Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Fielzão made a substitution. Alfredo Trigo replaced Luisão Leal. Bruninho Furtado hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The Fielzão fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Fielzão's Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carlos Eduardo Aparecido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andi Jovanović went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute, Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinícius Olgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Carlos Eduardo Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andi Jovanović in the 88th minute of play. Andi Jovanović might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Eduardo Aparecido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andi Jovanović ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute of the match, Andi Jovanović tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlos Eduardo Aparecido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 94 minutes into the game, Gerson Nascimento threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fielzão's Ciro de Alcântara quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 96 minutes into the match, Olgado™'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos came free, but Vinícius Olgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fielzão were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Olgado™'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arvid Treiner took the corner. Olgado™'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
