When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Nando de Almeida sped through Laguna Sunrise FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emílio Peres. In the 23rd minute Vao Eesporte Clube were awarded a corner. Nando de Almeida went to the cornerflag to take it. Laguna Sunrise FC's Emílio Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Olando in the 26th minute of play. Emílio Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Cordarin went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Délio Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Hoffmann in the 30th minute of play. Vao Eesporte Clube's Délio Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Hoffmann in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Laguna Sunrise FC's goalkeeper Emílio Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando de Almeida. Emílio Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Olando's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. With a little luck, Laguna Sunrise FC's Emílio Peres got control of the ball when Nando de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Paulinho Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laguna Sunrise FC's protests and gave Paulinho Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. Paulinho Hoffmann hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Emílio Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando de Almeida in the 52nd minute of the match. Ignacio Olando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Peres having to interfere. Vao Eesporte Clube's Nando de Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When César Alves fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 86th minute, César Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Vao Eesporte Clube were the better team. Vao Eesporte Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
