Délio Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Mello in the 23rd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Vao Eesporte Clube's goalkeeper Délio Galvão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Paulo Mello. Cercadinho's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando de Almeida in the 33rd minute of play. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Olando in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, José Paulo Mello dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Délio Galvão, 1-0. In the 43rd minute, Jailson Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vao Eesporte Clube getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Kiko Vasconcelos hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nando de Almeida to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Everton Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cercadinho and the Vao Eesporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Everton Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Ceni made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Pedro Cordarin sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that José Paulo Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Délio Galvão was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, José Paulo Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Vao Eesporte Clube defense, José Paulo Mello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Délio Galvão. The Vao Eesporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Délio Galvão should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes in the game Kiko Vasconcelos did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ignacio Olando. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nando de Almeida in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Ceni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th minute, José Paulo Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Délio Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of Vao Eesporte Clube booed when Cercadinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everton Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Olando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Rogério Ceni made a huge save. Kiko Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Valiente Venezian put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Délio Galvão. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cercadinho had won after a very even match.
